About us
Vic Crombie is the principle teacher and founder of Mindful Thriving Kids.
Vic has been working with youth for 25 years and over the last 10 plus years has been teaching yoga and mindfulness in schools, preschools, in partnership with youth services, and running after-school programs in Melbourne.
Specialising in building positive physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing for kids and teens through yoga, mindfulness, and positive psychology strategies, Vic brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to parents and educators through the programs at Mindful Thriving Kids.
The need for wellbeing programs that are trauma-informed, fully accessible to all young people and that holistically support the whole child (mentally, physically and emotionally), is more imperative than ever, and so Mindful Thriving Kids was created as an additional program to the offerings at Sanctuary Yoga and Wellness (Vic’s original yoga business).
Prior to qualifying as a Yoga and Meditation teacher Vic worked as a youth worker in the UK, developing and delivering health and wellbeing programs for youth and facilitating training programs for youth workers. Initially trained as a Biologist, Vic brings her love of science and understanding of research rigour to the development of all of her programs.
Vic is well respected by the families, students and schools she a has worked with for her in-depth knowledge, continual professional development, meaningful and impactful programs, sense of humour and friendly approachable manner.
She is committed to making a positive difference to the lives of children, young people and families through science backed strategies of yoga, mindfulness and positive psychology.
“Our mission is to plant seeds of kindness, joy, compassion, gratitude and happiness in the hearts and minds of children, empowering them to live into their fullest potential, shine their unique light, and make a difference in the world.”
