Halloween Kids Yoga

Halloween is such a fun theme for a kids yoga class! 👻

Over the years I’ve had so much fun in my kids yoga classes, we’ve dressed up in costumes, I’ve been a witch turning the children into frogs, bats, lizards, wolves, slugs and monsters, we’ve played pass the pumpkin using only our feet, danced to “The Monster Mash” and rolled up in our mats like Mummy’s!

In the FREE download below you’ll find:

🎃 pumpkin pose to warm up the core, massage the back and get energy flowing along the spine.

🎃  cat pose, arch your back, like a scary cat, for flexibility of the spine.

🎃 witches hat, a.k.a triangle pose, for flexibility in the legs, hips, spine and stability in the shoulders and neck.

🎃 howling wolf, a.k.a. cobra pose, or up dog pose, for strengthening the back of the body and opening the chest for effective breathing.

🎃 balancing broomstick, a.k.a. airplane pose, for stability, focus, and balance.

🎃 bat, a.k.a. shoulder stand or candlestick pose, for all the benefits and inversion offers the body, comes to mind, and gives you a different perspective.

🎃 ghost breathing, breathing, take a long, slow, deep breath out, saying “wooohooo” let go of any uncomfortable or difficult feelings.

🎃 mummy meditation, lie on your back with your hands, resting on your belly, close your eyes, and imagine you are wrapped up in bandages like a mummy. Lie still. Feel your belly rising and falling as you breathe. Rest here for a few minutes breathing in, and breathing out.

There are so many options for games, stories, poses and breathing activities, it just takes a little imagination, so connect to your inner child and have some fun 👻
